Göran Åhs

After finishing his Bachelor of Business Administration with a focus on Auditing and Accounting, Göran Åhs worked in many different companies. He has 25 years of experience in the insurance business, where he primarily worked in the Financial Controlling and Business Development departments. In 2009 he began working as a Project Manager for Eurapco AG and was responsible for the business groups in marine, motor and commercial lines and dealt with issues related to risk management, Solvency II, Fronting, Freedom of Services (FOS), business development and compliance issues. Since 2011 he has worked for Sweden’s largest insurance company, Länsförsäkringar, implementing reporting tools and work flow support for interim and final Solvency II reporting.

Peter-Antonius Bramm

Global Head Central Banks,
SAP SE

Peter-Antonius Bramm is the Global Segment Lead for Central Banks in SAP IBU Banking. He develops the solution offering and SAP’s Go-to-Market strategy for Central Banks, comprising the business areas of regulation, micro- and macro-prudential supervision, notes issuance and management as well as core-banking and payments.
Peter-Antonius joined the SAP banking sales team in 1997 where he was responsible for a variety of institutions, including the Deutsche Bundesbank and the European Central Bank (ECB). Beginning in 2006 he initiated an SAP-led cooperation and exchange platform for central banks in Europe which over time gained a global reach. Two years ago Peter-Antonius Bramm established the SAP Central Bank Executive Summit as a global thought leadership platform for central bankers and supervisors. Since the beginning of 2014 he is leading this strategic market segment for SAP. Peter-Antonius Bramm holds a degree in Business Administration (Diplom-Kaufmann) from Johann-Wolfgang-Goethe-Universität, Frankfurt am Main.

Thomas Haeske

Following his studies in Business Information Technology at the Technical University in Dresden, Thomas Haeske worked in the Organisation department at the Landesbank Berlin. Since 1998 he has been employed at the Berlin Hyp, where he was initially responsible for the bank’s organisation and managed numerous projects, especially in the SAP-environment. In 2013 he assumed the management of the Organisation/IT department for the Berlin Hyp.

Daniel Kunkel

Deputy Head Statistics on Insurance Corporations and Pension Funds,
Deutsche Bundesbank

Daniel Kunkel is the Deputy Head of Statistics concerning Insurances and Pensions in the central area of statistics at the Deutsche Bundesbank. After his degree in international economics at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität in Nürnberg he was working as financial consultant focused on supporting business start-ups. Afterwards he joined the Deutsche Bundesbank, where he has been responsible for the regulatory reporting of ESCB insurance statistics based on Solvency II since 2013. Furthermore he leads the Task Force on Pension Funds Statistics of the ECB, which collects balance data of pensions.

Frank Romeike

Founder of the competence centre RiskNET – The Risk Management Network

Frank Romeike is the founder of the competence center RiskNET – The Risk Management Network. He is CEO and owner of RiskNET GmbH as well as founder and partner of RiskNET Advisory & Partner. Moreover he is also editor-in-chief of “RISIKO MANAGER”. He studied economics in Cologne and Norwich and completed his MBA in the area of risk and compliance management. Frank Romeike is one of the most renowned experts for risk and compliance management and frequently publishes articles on risk management, value- and risk-based management, scenario analyses and company valuation. Frank Romeike teaches at LMU, Hochschule Coburg and Technische Hochschule Deggendorf. Furthermore he is head of the user group „Solvency II“ and member of the board at the Frankfurt Institute for Risk Management and Regulation (FIRM).

Dr. Aurel Schubert

Director General Statistics Department,
European Central Bank (ECB)

Dr. Aurel Schubert is Director General Statistics of the EBC, Chairman of the Statistics Committee of the European System of Central Banks and Chairman of the Contact Group on Data of the European Systemic Risk Board. Before he was for 25 year working at the Oesterreichische Nationalbank, 13 years as Director of Statistics. He is (and was) member of several Austrian and European statistical bodies. He is Honorary Professor for Economics of the University of Economics and Business in Vienna, Austria; Lecturer at several academic institutions. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of South Carolina (USA) and a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Economics and Business in Vienna.

Publications: The Credit-Anstalt Crisis of 1931 (Cambridge University Press), as well as over 50 articles on central banking, European monetary policy, statistics and monetary history.

Peter Stutz

Manager Regulatory Requirements,
DZ BANK AG

Following a banking apprenticeship at a primary cooperative bank and Business Administration studies at the German Federal Bank, Mr. Peter Stutz has been active in regulatory law since 1992. In November 2000, he moved to the DZ BANK AG (or their predecessor institution), where he has been responsible for all of the Pillar I regulatory legal issues as the Head of the Regulatory Law Department ever since.  Three mergers have been successfully implemented under his leadership and the "Competence Center for Regulatory Law" has been implemented for the entire value chain of the regulatory law for DZ BANK AG, individual subsidiaries, the corporate group and the financial conglomerate. The goal for Mr. Peter Stutz and his team is to keep up with the regulator in implementing the " Competence Center for Regulatory Law" for all subsidiaries of the DZ BANK Group and to implement a group reporting system in the future.

Stephan Taborsky

Stephan Taborsky joined Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI) in 2009, after working in Consulting business for almost 7 years – mainly doing large-scale system integration projects within the field of Core Banking, Finance and Regulatory Reporting. He holds master degrees both in Computer Science and Business Administration and Economy.

Beginning of 2014 he took opportunity taking over responsibility for RBI’s initiative Regulatory Reporting and Accounting Notes (RRAN) as a Program Manager. Since then he successfully integrated the ABACUS/GMP reporting platform on basis of RBI’s Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDWH) including first productive reports of Security Cubes, Credit Cubes, Deposits/Real Accounts Cubes and FinRep-Solo until now. The next objectives already in progress are OeNB Financial Market Stability (FMS) Cubes, AnaCredit and IFRS Accounting Notes.

Dr. Katarzyna Wojtkiewicz

Dr. Katarzyna Wojtkiewicz is a lawyer (LL.M) with a doctor’s degree in economics obtained in information management. Following this unique merge between legal and technical matters, she dedicates her professional career to design and implement efficient data governance frameworks in private and public institutions. She shares her experience in form of various publications and supports knowledge exchange between academia and industry.

Since six years, Dr Katarzyna Wojtkiewicz serves the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority, and as the Regulatory Oversight Committee member she is actively involved in implementations of the Global Legal Entity Identifier System.

Prior to her current role, she had been employed in several positions in financial groups, supporting the foundation of the Polish capital market. She also provided advice to the Chair of the Polish SEC in transposing the European directives into the national legal system and introducing them to market infrastructures and day to day supervision.

Silke Beickert

Moderator

Silke Beickert is the moderator of Sky Sport News HD, the only 24/7 sport news channel in Germany. She has acted as news anchor since 2011 and moderates several other magazines as well. Prior to this, Silke Beickert worked as a correspondent for N24. During her theatre and media studies at the University of Bayreuth, she worked for several television channels, such as RTL and Sat1. Silke Beickert has over 10 years of experience in presenting, especially in live broadcasting, be that in a studio or at events.

Silke Beickert will be moderating the Banking Conference on Day 1.
